| Abstract |
The invention resides in a novel photochemical process for the production of a aryl propionic acids by the subjection of a solution in an organic solvent of the corresponding a haloaryl alkyl ketones to irradiation with light having a wavelength of from 200 to 800 nm preferably in the presence of a suitable acid scavenger for the neutralization of any hydrohalogen acid generated during the reaction. |
